Ok it’s time I admitted this - I’m an addict. That’s right folks I’m addicted to Lucozade! So imagine my excitement when this week I discovered the latest addition to the Lucozade range - Lucozade Alert!
Lucozade Alert ( yes I’m going to repeat the product as much as possible hoping they’ll send me free samples) contains just about everything proven to make you hyper including ginseng and guarana. Great for someone like me who needs more than a kick in the morning to get going!! I tried it for the first time a few nights ago and within ten minutes I went from feeling very sleepy to washing my car for the first time in 3 months.
So if you suddenly see many of your neighbours out mowing the lawn, washing the car, cleaning windows, it may be the effects of Lucozade Alert.
Just as a sidenote, I read somewhere that bars were beginning to serve it and it’s replacing red bull as an accompaniant to vodka. Has anyone tried and tested this?
Yea I’ve tried it, it gives a really bad crash afterwards and will never compare to Red Bull. There’s far too much crap in it and the lack of taurine means it sucks for hangovers! Vodka and Red Bull will never be replaced for me! Party On

IN reply to nick, the lack of taurine means there’s less crap in it. Taurine AND caffeine encourage more random impulses to be emitted at the AVN… if you have a weak heart you’re more likely to defibrillate. Red bull is bad for you. Period.
Presence of ginseng and guarana however [in all anti-fatigue over-the-counter remedies, such as pharmaton] encourage prolonged stimulation.
If I have to plug one drink I’ll go for Lucozade, it tastes better, less crash after the stimulation [yes nick, you are very wrong], better looking and resealable bottle [having a sealed bottle means you're less likely to drink it all in one go, have a massive stimulation and then a massive crash, whereas the can encourages you to down it all and then crash]
plus you can use it as a better mixer than redbull, as it’s colourless
i don’t like the pissy colour of red bull, or the smell, or the taste, or the can.

Ive tried Alert for the first time at 10 yesterday eve, just to give me a small hyper boost. I had plans to meet up with a fella for a few hours. I didnt expect the drink to keep me awake th entire night!! Its now 6:30AM and i’m still awake typing this. ha
